Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Blooming Grove is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Blooming Grove members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as preparing communion, to teaching a Sunday School class.

Music & Worship

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our worship team. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers play an important role every Sunday as they invite us into God’s presence and lead us in worship, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Greeters

The greeter team at the Grove fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, helping visitors, answering questions, handing out weekly bulletins, and providing direction. They are always equipped with a warm smile and a hardy hug or handshake.

Audio & Video

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Blooming Grove. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly worship services and sermons make use of PowerPoint and Exalt Now presentations with occasional videos or other media. We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication.

Prayer Team

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Blooming Grove is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, a team of volunteers is praying for the families of the Grove, the community around us, as well as our nations leaders. We take prayer requests at every service and often share them on Facebook.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, the Grove holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

How Do I Meet People?

Blooming Grove is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a farmer with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can get plugged in and stay connected at the Grove.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, the Grove has small bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. Most small groups meet during the school year and break for summer. It’s in these smaller, intimate groups where real ministry often takes place.

Youth & Children’s Ministry

Nearly a third of our average weekly attendance is made up of children and teens. Raising your children to be full of joy and rock solid in their faith requires a personal relationship with Jesus. We’re here to help you as you lead your children toward a vibrant faith. Our Toddler Worship, Junior Worship,  PastorPals, and Youth Ministry are dedicated to supporting your family from the youngest to the oldest. At each stage, God’s Word will be taught in a creative, relevant and age appropriate manner.
